OPEN DOORS RESOURCES
We are a baptized people and one of our baptismal promises is to respect the dignity of every human being. Respecting the dignity of other human beings is always going to be costly. That’s what dignity means, giving up my comfort, privilege and power so that someone who does not have the same access as I do can also have it.

Pledge your support
We have committed to raising at least $1 million in support of the Open Doors project. We have currently raised $1,035,000 in pledges and donations.
-
Community Bonds
We are offering an investment vehicle in the form of Community Bonds. These are guaranteed investments that will help us with construction costs. Community bonds are similar to a GIC. These bonds are for a 3 year period and have a fixed rate of return. They are fully secured by the parish’s $4.7 million endowment fund

Columbarium
The Open Doors project proposes a ramped corridor in the current location of the columbarium. As such, the columbarium will need to be moved. This is being done in consultation with the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, Giddy’s Funeral Home, and the columbarium administrator.
